Panerai, officially known as Officine Panerai, was founded by Giovanni Panerai in 1860. When Giovanni Panerai set up the Panerai shop, it operated as a watch workshop and showroom. IWC’s history shows a connecting thread in each era, which shows the brand’s adaptability to the ever-changing trends in watchmaking.

Being a Swiss-based company, IWC faces stiff competition from other Swiss luxury watchmaking brands like JLC. IWC  has adopted a unique strategy in watchmaking.
