About Raymond Weil Watches
Started by a passionate watch enthusiast with the goal of building a brand in the affordable luxury realm, Raymond Weil grew in popularity in spite of the quartz crisis. As an independently owned family operated brand, Raymond Weil has managed to maintain their unique vision of combining cultural elements with luxury watches, offering collectors an affordable entry point into Swiss watches.
Raymond Weil History
Raymond Weil was started in 1976 by Raymond Weil and Simone Bédat. Despite the toll the Quartz Crisis was taking on the Swiss watch industry, Raymond Weil was able to build his brand and develop an international network of distributors, receiving praise from both new buyers and established collectors alike. The Weil family was always inspired by music, and took this inspiration to create the Amadeus collection, named after famed composer Mozart, and the feature film that was released that same year. Taking inspiration from classical music would continue to provide collection names for the brand, including the Toccata, Fidelo, Fantasia, and Parsifal. The Parsifal collection was featured in a successful 1994 advertising campaign for the brand’s precision movements, featuring a group of dancers mid-air, further establishing the brand’s public image of being connected to the performing arts.
In 1999, Raymond Weil started to control their own design process, launching their own internal Research and Development department. In 2006, Elie and Oliver Bernheim took over leadership of the brand, establishing the 3rd generation of family to manage the brand. Elie and Oliver continue to lead Raymond Weil today, continuing to develop new collections and further develop the connection between the brand and the performing arts, as seen with the Maestro and Freelancer collections.
Raymond Weil Collections
Since their founding in 1976, Ramony Weil has developed a complete catalog offering watch buyers a wide variety of watches. The range includes elegant timepieces ready for formal occasions, sport watches ready for active adventures, and modern designs that are aimed at making a statement. Raymong Weil’s different collections aim to offer a variety of timepieces that still align with the brand’s image.

Drawing on traditional designs within horology, this inspiration served to create a modern yet simplified and refined timepiece collection. Raymond Weil Noemia Collection
Named after Raymon Weil’s granddaughter, the Noemia collection is aimed at the modern women looking for a sleek, elegant watch design. Available in a variety of case diameters, these watches are fitted with quartz movements that will be reliable and accurate for years of wearing enjoyment.
Raymond Weil Tango Collection
Aiming to imitate the contrasting nature of the Tango style, featuring both flowing and sharp rhythmic movements, the Tango collection combines traditional and modern case design elements, featuring the prominent six screws on the bezel which have become a defining feature of the collection.
Raymond Weil Toccata Collection
Named after a musical form stemming from the Baroque period, the Raymond Weil Toccata collection takes inspiration from this established musical form by featuring designs that are classic and elegant, paying homage to established designs within Swiss watchmaking. Just as musical traditions are passed from one generation to the next, the Toccata collection displays the brand’s close connection to the performing arts and the brand’s multi-generational family history, making watches that can be passed from generation to the next.
