Doxa’s Sub 300T was ahead of its time in many ways by incorporating bold colors into a tool with an ultimately utilitarian purpose. The bright orange dial was chosen for practical reasons as well. To make the model even more useful, Doxa added a chronograph to their characterful tool watch with the Doxa Sub 200 T-Graph.
About Doxa Sub 200 T-GRAPH Watches
To build upon the existing Sub 300T collection, Doxa released the Sub 200 T-Graph to introduce a chronograph model into the brand’s catalog of capable dive watches.
The Doxa Sub 200 T-Graph maintains the brand's well-known cushion case design, dive ascension calculation bezel, and bright orange dial but adds the functionality of a 30-minute chronograph, adding the ability to time two events simultaneously. To mark the 50th anniversary of the Sub 200 T-Graph, Doxa re-released the model in 2019.
Doxa Sub 200 T-GRAPH History
Founded in 1889, Doxa started working on their first dive watch in the late 1960’s. In 1968, the Doxa Sub 300T was released, which featured the now famous orange dial and iconic Doxa dive timing bezel. The bezel features the air timing table for no compression dives, allowing divers to more accurately time their ascension to the surface.
Doxa also chose to use the now distinctive shade of bright orange, as it was deemed to be the most legible under deeper depths of water where there is significantly less light. A year later, in 1969, Doxa released the Sub 200 T-Graph, a two-register dive chronograph that maintained the iconic bezel and bright orange dial.
The Quartz Crisis put Doxa in the same position as many other brands, forcing the brand and the 300T to fade away for several years. Regardless, the 300T gained an ardent fan base, and the brand was resurrected in 1997 and started releasing watches again in 2002.
Now that the brand is more stable, they continue to offer new models, including references to models from the back catalog, along with updated versions of icons in different materials and modernized designs. In 2019, Doxa re-released the Sub 200 T-Graph for the 50th anniversary of the model and the 130th anniversary of the brand.
This collection included accurate recreations of the original Sub 200 T-Graph, along with versions available in 18k 4N Gold, both on a rubber strap and a full 18k 4N gold bracelet. Doxa expanded on its history later with a more modern interpretation of this idea with the Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph collection.

What’s Unique About Doxa Sub 200 T-GRAPH Watches?
The defining attribute of the Doxa Sub 200 T-GRAPH collection is that it is an accurate recreation of the original model from 1969, with some modern updates, including a ratcheting dive extension clasp and a sapphire crystal covering the dial. The modern materials and case construction also allow for increased durability compared to vintage models, allowing owners a more worry-free wearing experience.
The most unique offering in this collection is the full 18k 4N Gold model, which is the most luxurious and bold model in the collection. Limited to 13 pieces in total, the Doxa Sub 200 T-GRAPH in 18k 4N gold is certainly a statement piece that will be seldom seen elsewhere.
Doxa Sub 200 T-GRAPH Movements
The movements used in the Doxa Sub 200 T-GRAPH collection are originally manually wound Valjoux 7753 movements from 30 years ago. These new-old-stock movements have been restored and overhauled to allow for use and peace of mind for their new owners.
These Valjoux 7753 movements have been modified to be manually wound and display the running seconds and 30-minute chronograph display, along with the date at 6 o’clock. The Valjoux 7753 operates at a 28,800 bph beat rate and has a 42-hour power reserve.
Doxa Sub 200 T-GRAPH Watch Colors
The Doxa Sub 200 T-Graph is only available with one dial option, the iconic Doxa “Professional” orange. This dial color was chosen for its increased legibility in low-light situations. Both gold and steel models are available with a matching orange rubber strap for those wishing for an even bolder color on their wrist.
Doxa Sub 200 T-GRAPH Watch Materials
Like the original, the Doxa Sub 200 T-Graph is available in stainless steel, with modern upgrades including a sapphire crystal, modern rubber gaskets, and a metal clasp with ratcheting dive extension for both rubber and metal bracelet options.
For those looking for a more luxurious option, Doxa has expanded the line to include 18k 4N gold as an option. Both rubber straps and metal bracelets are available for both case material choices.
