Dive watches are incredibly practical, as their increased water resistance makes them more than durable for everyday wear, and the timing bezel can be used to time events, even on dry land.

Adding a chronograph increases the functionality, adding the ability to track multiple events at the same time. With a history of producing dive chronographs, the Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph collection brings modern dive chronographs to the market with various options to suit almost every collector.

About Doxa Sub 200 C-GRAPH Watches

The Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph collections are modern dive chronographs that employ many iconic characteristics of Doxa dive watches. The cushion case and use of bright colors have attracted the attention of collectors, especially those looking for a unique watch from a historic brand.

The Sub 200 C-Graph collection combines vintage cues with a large and bold case design, while the Sub 200 C-Graph II collection reduces the case size while modernizing the design. Regardless of which model you choose, both build on Doxa’s history of rugged dive watches, which includes dive chronographs.

Doxa Sub 200 C-GRAPH History

Founded in 1889, Doxa started working on their first dive watch in the late 1960s. In 1968, the Doxa Sub 300T was released, which featured the now famous orange dial and iconic Doxa dive timing bezel. The bezel features the air timing table for no compression dives, allowing divers to more accurately time their ascension to the surface.

Doxa also chose to use the now distinctive shade of bright orange, as it was deemed the most legible under deeper depths where there is significantly less light. A year later, in 1969, Doxa released the Sub 200 T-Graph, a two-register dive chronograph that maintained the iconic bezel and bright orange dial.

The Quartz Crisis put Doxa in the same position as many other brands, forcing the brand and the 300T to fade away for several years. Regardless, the 300T gained an ardent fan base, and the brand was resurrected in 1997 and started releasing watches again in 2002.

Now that the brand is more stable, they continue offering new models, including references to models from the back catalog, updated versions of icons in different materials, and modernized designs. In 2019, Doxa re-released the Sub 200 T-Graph for the 50th anniversary of the model and the 130th anniversary of the brand.

In 2020, Doxa released the Sub 200 C-Graph, a 45mm wide modern take on the dive chronograph, incorporating a 3-register 12-hour chronograph movement and a sapphire bezel with a matching bezel insert. In 2023, Doxa released another update to the Sub 200 C-Graph, with the Sub 200 C-Graph II.

The Sub 200 C-Graph II has a reduced case size of 42mm, an updated design, and the use of a steel or ceramic bezel insert. Both versions of the Sub 200 C Graph are offered in the current Doxa catalog.

How Much Do Doxa Sub 200 C-GRAPH Watches Cost?

With each model within the Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph collection being largely similar except for dial color and strap/bracelet options, the price range is quite narrow. The Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph has a price range starting at $2750 for the C-Graph on a rubber strap and going up to $2990 for the C-Graph II on a beads of rice bracelet with a ceramic bezel.

The C-Graph II models are slightly more expensive, largely because of bezel materials used compared to the C-Graph collection. The models on the bracelet include a fixed dive extension in the clasp, along with three positions of micro-adjustment via a spring bar and tool.

The rubber strap models include a pin buckle for securing the watch on the wrist. The good thing about this narrow price range is that making a decision on which model you may choose is based on personal preference and less on the associated cost. Below is a breakdown of various options and configurations.

What’s Unique About Doxa Sub 200 C-GRAPH Watches?

Compared to the iconic SUB 300T, the Sub 200 C-Graph has a simplified and more modern appearance, even with the added chronograph function. The sleeker appearance is largely due to the use of a more typical dive bezel, removing the ascension timing bezel used on the 300T.

The chronograph function continues a lineage of dive chronographs from Doxa but with a three-register layout instead of two, allowing for the timing of events up to 12 hours, in addition to the rotating dive bezel.

The Sub 200 C-Graph line has sapphire bezels with color-matched bezel inserts, making for a modern take on the bakelite bezel inserts from the 1960s. The Sub 200 C-Graph II has the option of a steel or ceramic bezel, depending on the color, both of which contribute to a more modern aesthetic.

The Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph collection has a 45mm wide case, is 17.25mm thick, and has a 49mm lug-to-lug, making it a very large, sporty watch. The Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph II collection is more compact, measuring 42mm, 46mm lug-to-lug, and 15.85mm thick. Regardless, both are large and rugged, making for ideal modern sports watches.

Doxa Sub 200 C-GRAPH Movements

Both the Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph and Sub 200 C-Graph II collections house the Sellita SW510, an automatic winding chronograph movement that measures events up to 12 hours. The movement has a 56-hour power reserve,27 jewels, and beats at 28,800 bph.

Doxa Sub 200 C-GRAPH Watch Colors

The Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph collection has the Professional (orange), Searambler (silver), Sharkhunter (black), Caribbean (navy blue), Divingstar (yellow), and Aquamarine (turquoise blue) color variations.

The Professional, Searambler, Sharkhunter, and Caribbean all have vintage-toned (light khaki brown) lume, with the Searambler and Sharkhunter having a matching vintage tone to the bezel insert.

The Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph II Collection utilizes much the same colors but replaces the Searambler with Whitepearl (white). All models have white lume on the dials, with the Sharkhunter and Caribbean models having the indices outlined in red, which adds a welcomed additional color.

With a wide range of colors available, there is a Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph to suit almost every taste, ranging from more conservative and vintage-inspired to bright and bold for those who are more adventurous.

Doxa Sub 200 C-GRAPH Watch Materials

The Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph collection stays with traditional materials for a dive watch, with the case, case back, and beads of rice bracelet being made of stainless steel. Should you opt for one of the strap options, the straps are made of rubber and come with a stainless steel pin buckle.

The Sub 200 C-Graph uses a sapphire caped bezel, white Sub 200 C-Graph II has either a ceramic or steel bezel, depending on the model. The crystal covering the dial is made of sapphire, offering the scratch-resistant durability expected from a modern dive watch.
