About Bianchet Watches

Bianchet watches was started with a focus of design, technology, and haute-horology. With a special interest in the tourbillon mechanism, the brand creates timepieces with a modern design ethos that highlights the micro-engineering and precision required to create a flying tourbillon. These modern timepieces are created to accompany a lifestyle devoted to pursuing crafts and skill to the highest levels, and those that appreciate exceptional achievements of all sorts.

Bianchet History

Bianchet was founded by Rodolfo Festa Bianchet, and Emmanuelle Festa Bianchet. Rodolfo’s background is an Italian entrepreneur with a background in Financial technologies. Emmanuelle’s career started in journalism, while also pursuing painting and music. After Rodolfo sold his technology company, he decided to pursue his passion for horology and started Bianchet in 2017. Emmanuelle joined the family venture, bringing her passion for fine objects, design, and architecture to the table.

The brand displayed their first prototype at Baselworld in 2019, and released their first collection at Geneva Watch Days in 2021. The brand has gone on to sponsor a number of athletic endeavors, ranging from tennis stars, surfers, polo teams, and racing teams.

Bianchet Collections

Bianchet’s current collection focuses on the tourbillon complication, with models also featuring a grand-date complication and GMT functions. The tonneau case shape follows the principles of the golden ratio, and the overall designs are meant to be wearable, sporty, and durable, offering increased shock resistance of 5,000 g’s and 100 meters of water resistance. These timepieces are meant to be reliable companions despite their complicated and intricate mechanisms. Utilizing titanium and carbon for the cases, along with grade 5 titanium for the movements, Bianchet watches are lightweight and durable. The movements are hand assembled and hand finished, again highlighting the pursuit to craft some of the finest timepieces available.

Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Sport GMT

A model intended for globe trotters, the Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Sport GMT features a dual-time function in addition to the titanium flying tourbillon that allows the wearer to read two time zones simultaneously. Furthering the jet-set mentality, a small globe rotates within the dual-time display alongside the central hour hand. There is also a display to signify the crown position, to facilitate easy operation of the winding, time-setting, and dual-time functions.

Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Grande Date

Awarded “Best Start-Up Watch” by the International Temporis Awards in 2023, the Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Grande Date features a double digit date display at twelve o’clock. The grade five titanium movement and flying tourbillon is skeletonized and hand finished, allowing the wearer to appreciate the expertise and skill required to manufacture such an intricate movement.

Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Sapphire Edition

The Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Sapphire Edition takes the Grande Date model, and is in a case made of sapphire glass, making the case transparent. This allows for the wearer to have even more viewing angles of the movement and components inside the watch. Used primarily for the crystals that cover the front and back of watches, sapphire as a case material is incredibly difficult to achieve, displaying Bianchet’s endeavours to produce innovative haute-horology timepieces.

With a fully skeletonized movement with flying tourbillon, and large double digit date display, the Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Grande Date Hybrid Gold adds additional flare with the 18k 3N gold bezel, crown, case back, and buckle. Included are both a white and black rubber strap, to better suit the wearers mood and taste. While other models within the Bianchet catalog make their statement with bold colors, this model does so with more luxurious materials. Despite the more precious materials, this model still maintains the 5000 gs of shock resistance and 100 meters of water resistance of other models.

The Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Grande Date Maserati Carbon was created in partnership with Maserati’s Formula E racing team. Maserati’s Formula E team has been on the forefront of electric powered motor racing, paving the way for new technologies in motor sports. Matching Maserati’s innovative spirit, the use of carbon for the case and grade five titanium for the movement make Bianchet’s timepieces truly modern pieces of engineering. Matching the team Maserati team colors, the Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Grande Date Maserati Carbon features blue dial accents, with a blue rubber strap and blue rubberized crown. At twelve o’clock, the Maserati logo takes the place of the Bianchet logo.

Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Grande Date B 1.618 Sapphire White SWFTGD4

Sapphire has been established as a material for watch crystals that cover the front and back of many watches. Used for its scratch resistance, but prone to shattering, sapphire can be very challenging to work with, making complex shapes difficult to achieve. The Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Grande Date Sapphire White has a case made out of clear sapphire, displaying Bianchet expertise in their ability to manufacture watches with challenging materials. The clear case allows for multiple viewing angles of the inside of the watch, allowing the owner to appreciate the craftsmanship from all sides. Given the nature of sapphire cases, the case is only water resistant to 50 meters, which is still plenty durable for daily wear.

Bianchet Movements

Bianchet utilizes calibers developed for the brand, that are skeletonized manually wound movements made from grade five titanium. Lightweight and durable, this allows the movements to be structurally rigid while reducing the overall weight of the timepiece. Bianchet movements also feature flying tourbillons at six o’clock, with additional complications (either a grande date or GMT function) at 12 o’clock. All Bianchet movements feature a 90-hour power reserve and operate a 3HZ.

Bianchet Watch Colors

Bianchet utilizes a wide variety of colors for dial accents and straps, ranging from conservative black and white, to bold oranges, reds, and blues. The cases are made of carbon composite as a primary material, making them black in color, with silver and gold used in hybrid models.

The cases are made from carbon composite, with some models featuring either titanium or 18k 3N gold components.
