The deep, massive stripes that make Macassar so distinctive seem to drive the whole object forward. As the metal surfaces switch between a yellow gold, a polished and a satin finish, it feels like gears being shifted in a constant acceleration, with the magic incantation of Tashi’s engraving acting as an after-burner. In the spirit of Magritte, this is perhaps not a clock.
Winchester, reimagined also proposes an alternative to the classic arabesque motif: a modern interpretation of gun engraving by master bladesmith and knife designer TashiBharucha.
