MeisterSinger PDD365901 Pangaea Day Date 365 - White
The logo and the model name in decorative lettering alone place the Pangaea Day Date 365 models in a time when mail was still delivered by coach. The overall delicate texture of the dial underlines this character in a perfect way. The date and weekday rings are completely open, giving the dial both structure and depth. The central, specially designed hand with an extra-long overhang calmly rotates around the dial. The current date and day of the week are clearly displayed just below the 12 o’clock position. The black-and-white look is accentuated by small red highlights.
The elegant, slender stainless steel case of the Pangaea Day Date is 40 mm in diameter, water-resistant up to 5 bar, and fitted with a domed sapphire glass over the dial. The movement can be easily viewed through the sixfold screwed glass exhibition back as it performs its high-precision task.
Despite its complex mechanical inner workings, the Pangaea Day Date has a profile of only 10.5 mm and is one of the most elegant watches in the MeisterSinger collection. The Pangaea Day Date 365 shows how perfectly the design features of historical clocks harmonize with MeisterSinger’s philosophy of time.
Inside the Pangaea Day Date ticks the Swiss automatic movement Sellita SW220, which has been specially modified for the single-hand watches from MeisterSinger. At midnight, the two rings that rotate in opposite directions align to form the next day’s date in the blink of an eye. The rotor supplies the automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve.
Each line in the outer circle of MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches stands for exactly 5 minutes. The hand is therefore both an hour hand and a minute hand. For example, if the hand points to the fifth stroke after ten, the time is 10:25.
The line hierarchy typical of MeisterSinger single-hand watches additionally divides the time display into half and quarter hours, thus making it easier to read off the time accurately.
