MeisterSinger NE419D Neo Plus - Sunburst Green Dégradé
The Neo Plus combines the design of the 60s with the unique characteristics of a MeisterSinger watch. The functional typography with its continuous double-digit hour numerals from 01 to 12, the circumferential five-minute divisions and the single needle-shaped hour hand make this watch a genuine MeisterSinger classic. In this version, the Neo Plus features a sunburst dial in green; the technique known as dégradé creates a gradient of color from light in the center to dark at the edge of the dial. The bezel of the circular date window above the 6 o’clock position is silver-plated and highly polished.
With a diameter of 40 mm, the non-existent bezel, and its domed, hardened plastic glass, the case of the Neo Plus looks like a design from the 1960s. For design reasons, the Neo Plus features an overall profile of only 9.7 mm and is water-resistant up to 3 bar. The closed case back is engraved with a pattern consisting entirely of fermatas, the MeisterSinger hallmark.
The Neo Plus is reminiscent of the 60s: Uncluttered, minimalist, distinctive, and self-assured. With its 40 mm diameter, the Neo Plus is 4 mm larger than its little sister, yet it displays the same understated elegance and also looks particularly good on a slender wrist.
The Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement, which is specially modified for MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches, quietly ticks inside the Neo Plus. The date display can be conveniently set via its quick-switch function. The rotor provides the watch with a power reserve of 38 hours. Each line in the outer circle of MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches stands for exactly 5 minutes. The hand is therefore both an hour hand and a minute hand. For example, if the hand points to the fifth stroke after ten, the time is 10:25.
The line hierarchy typical of MeisterSinger single-hand watches additionally divides the time display into half and quarter hours, thus making it easier to read off the time accurately.
