With the Benjamin Franklin Edition, MeisterSinger pays tribute to a man who left a profound impact on the modern world. At the same time, the single-hand watch brand implements Franklin’s very own 4-hour clock concept and uniquely varies the minimalist functionality of a single-hand dial. In a limited run of only 70 pieces, MeisterSinger presents an exceptional watch and a true collector’s item.
The Franklin Edition is powered by an ETA/Unitas 6498, modified for the 4-hour concept, with a power reserve of 46 hours. The see-through case back allows one to observe the movement, originally designed for pocket watches. The impressive movement, with its sunburst-finished wheels, blued screws, and a bridge decorated with Geneva stripes, fascinates every mechanical watch enthusiast.
The stainless steel case is 43 mm in diameter, water-resistant up to 5 bar, and fitted with a domed sapphire glass over the dial. The movement can be easily viewed through the sixfold screwed glass exhibition back as it performs its high-precision task.
The classic 43mm case frames the shiny white dial, which is graphically divided into quadrants. The bold Roman numerals from 1 to 12 are arranged in a spiral towards the center. Though moving a bit faster than usual, the central, meticulously heat-blued hand still rotates at a leisurely pace.
