H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Blue Dial 6902-1201
H.Moser & Cie is one of the oldest watchmaking companies in the world. Established in 1828 in Switzerland by Heinrich Moser, H.Moser & Cie is a company with almost two centuries worth of watchmaking experience. From the previous era's watchmaking to the current period, H.Moser & Cie has produced hundreds and thousands of watches. These include 500000 timepieces that Heinrich Moser himself produced in his lifetime.
The company's rich history aside, the current H. Moser & Cie is no less than what it was all those years ago. The years have not made them lose their creativity. H.Moser & Cie are watchmakers who are continuously innovating. Even with a history like theirs, they don't believe in recreating the past. On the other hand, they strive to create their future. The H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Blue Dial 6902-1201 is one such luxury watch that is a testimony to the watchmaking prowess of H.Moser & Cie.
The Exterior
As far as this watch's casing is concerned, H.Moser & Cie had a very minimalist approach to it as they tried and succeeded in perfectly blending simplicity with luxury. This simplicity is apparent in the watch's stainless steel casing with sleek dimensions of 42.3mm diameter and 14.2mm height. In addition to the case's polished steel look, the piece is equipped with highly functional chronograph-push buttons. These buttons are present at 10 and 2 o'clock alongside a screw-in crown at 4 o'clock with an M engraved on it.
H.Moser & Cie have designed this watch with an integrated-bracelet to boost the case's smooth design further. Due to this, there is a smooth connection between the casing and dial of the timepiece and its bracelet. The bracelet has a folding clasp with three steel blades engraved with the Moser logo. Not only does this offer a secure fit, but it also gives the watch's aesthetics a boost.
To maintain the watch's structural integrity and aesthetics, the crystal used in the watch to protect the dial and the case back is a gently domed sapphire one. With its scratch-resistance and sturdiness, this crystal will enhance the watch's longevity and preserve its aesthetic attributes.
The Dial
There are some color combinations in the world of watchmaking that are downright perfect. One of them is the color contrast H.Moser & Cie chose for this luxury watch. The Funky Blue colored dial of this watch compliments the silver casing perfectly. Within the dial, the base blue color goes brilliantly well with the timepiece's white and red details. To further make the dial standout, the watch's hour and minute hands are set with Globolight inserts. This luminescent glow of the hands gives the dial a unique stylistic boost.
As far as the components of the dial involved in movement are concerned, it consists of four hands that display hours, minutes, chronograph seconds, and chronograph minutes. Since the watch's chronograph feature does not have sub-dials, the dial of the watch appears to be a lot less crowded than other watches. Not only does this bring out the elegance of the timepiece, but it also makes it easier to read the time on the watch. Finally, to make this a multi-functional work of art, H.Moser & Cie have also equipped this watch with a tachymeter on the flange to measure speed.
The Performance
While some luxury watches focus more on extravagance and less on performance, the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner is not one of them. Equipped with a Calibre HMC 902 movement system designed with AGENHOR and automatic winding feature, this watch's specifications are top-notch. Boasting a massive power reserve of 54 hours when fully wound, this watch beats at a frequency of 21600vph or 3Hz with a double-barrel movement system. If you look at the back of the dial, you wouldn't see a rotor through the sapphire crystal as the oscillating weight of the caliber is located right below the dial.
As the name of the watch suggests, this watch does offer a useful flyback feature. This feature allows you to use the reset function without needing to stop the chronograph. Simultaneously, like any high-quality watch, this one also provides water-resistance. The piece offers a water-resistance of up to 120 meters, and it retains all its functions, including the flyback feature underwater. Not only does this give this luxury watch more use than simply wearing it to a gala or party, but it also prevents it from being ruined by accidents.
