Grand Seiko STGK013 Watch Review
Grand Seiko made its entrance into the watchmaking industry in 1969. They initially made their appearance in Japan, but they have since made a name for themselves worldwide.
The Grand Seiko Elegance collection offers two women’s watches. One of these is the Grand Seiko STGK013.
Grand Seiko STGK013 Appearance
The Grand Seiko STGK013 is made of stainless steel. The case is 30.6mm in diameter and 12.7mm in thickness. The Grand Seiko STGK013 perfectly fits on one's wrist, as it includes a three-fold clasp with a push-button release.
Notably, this watch does not include a bezel. It is made with dual-curved sapphire crystal and has an anti-reflective coating on its inner surface, which causes the wearer less eye strain.
To further add to the watch's beauty, there are lines of diamonds that run along the sapphire crystal, suspending the dial in mid-air. The diamonds are embedded into the Zarutsu polished surface, which is distortion-free due to Grand Seiko's stunning hand-craftsmanship.
There are 40 diamonds on this watch. Nineteen diamonds run along the side of the case, while two large diamonds have been a place of the 12'o clock mark, which makes the watch beautifully eye-catching.
Working
This timepiece’s slim mechanical features are made possible through the use of the caliber 9S27, which is automatic and has manual winding capacity. The watch has an operating frequency of 28,000vph and has a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. The watch has an accuracy rate of +8 to -3 seconds every day when static. This means that once the watch is removed from controlled environmental settings, its accuracy rate changes only slightly. The caliber 9S27 is 4.49mm thick.
Magnetic and Water resistance
The Grand Seiko STGK013 is equipped with magnetic resistance, which is extremely important for watches as magnetic fields can interfere with their mechanics.
The watch also has water resistance up to 10 bar. This level of water resistance allows the watch to withstand a decent amount of water pressure, which allows its user to wear it while swimming or going diving.
