Grand Seiko SBGA427 Watch Review.
The Grand Seiko SBGA427 has been released just as autumn is about to set in the bamboo forests of Japan. With Grand Seiko, there are never ambiguities about the quality the brand brings to the watch market. The release of premium Spring Drive movement watches one after another within a year shows how greatly the brand is committed to providing its collectors with exceptional timepieces.
The SBGA427 hour and minute markers are diamond polished on the dial and the light silver, vertically brushed lines reflect majestic stalks of bamboo. The green hues in the minute and hour markers speak for the moment in nature when trees turn green.
The case is stainless steel with dual curved sapphire glass and an antireflective coating. Brushed, polished stainless steel is used on the sides and the bracelet. The Grand Seiko SBGA427 is 12.5mm thick and 39mm in length, so it fits well on every wrist size. 30 jewels are brilliantly crafted onto the watch, including the sapphire crystal case back. The date window is at 3 o'clock, outlined with the same material as the hours. Between 7 and 8 o'clock sits the power reserve tracker, with the hand being the same color as the minute and hour hand.
The driving force of this watch is the Spring Drive movement which allows for the natural and continuous flow of time. The caliber 9R65 ensures accuracy, power, and an effortless second’s movement. The case back is see-through so the wearer can see how it is architected. The caliber 9R65 has a 72 hour (3 day) power reserve with an accuracy of 15 seconds +- a month. Spring Drive movement, created in Japanese Shinshu watch studios, is an incredible technology requiring no external power resource; it generates its power from a state of the art electromagnet regulator. The Grand Seiko SBGA427 is also water-resistant up to 100 meters.
This watch is offered with a stainless steel bracelet or alligator leather strap. You can easily change straps and decide which one to use for various occasions.
