The new SeaQ Chronograph appears in a straightforward black-and-white design. Its appearance is inspired by the sublime art of expressing a great deal with very little colour. The frame consists of a round, 43.2 mm diameter case in stainless steel and a unidirectional rotating bezel with scratch-resistant, black ceramic inlay. Water-resistant to 30 bar (300 m), this model is available with a black rubber strap, stainless steel bracelet or orange-coloured textile strap. The handcrafted dial in the colour ‘Silver Screen’ makes use of the optical effect that cinema screens once achieved with a thin layer of silver paint: The finely matt, silver galvanised surface reduces light dispersion and increases contrast, ensuring optimum readability. The black hands and applied indexes with their Super-LumiNova coating emphasise this effect. A further accent is provided by the two auxiliary dials, which have been carefully lathe-cut and given a “vinyl” decorative finish.
In addition to the classic dive time monitoring function using the unidirectional rotating bezel, the chronograph also has other useful features. The easy-to-use flyback function allows the stop second to be stopped, reset and restarted with a single press. This allows precise short-term measurements and makes this watch a reliable companion for all of life’s adventures.
As an officially certified diver’s watch, this chronograph for men complies with the ISO 6425 and DIN 8306 standards. Inside ticks the finely finished automatic calibre 37-23 with a power reserve of 70 hours, which thanks to a silicon balance spring is not affected by temperature fluctuations or magnetic fields. Typical Glashütte features such as the three-quarter plate with stripe finish, blued screws and beveled and polished edges can be admired unhindered through the sapphire crystal case back.
