Famous for producing luxurious yet highly complicated wristwatches, the Breguet company is also capable of selling simple timepieces. Breguet, the seller of elegant Swiss watches, has launched the latest timepiece, Breguet Classique 7147BR/29/9WU Rose Gold. Initially released with an engine-turned dial, this new model boasts the grand feu enamel dial fixed over the detailed and gorgeous casing. Let’s find out quickly what makes the Breguet Classique 7147 such an impressive watch:
Case
Presented in 40mm x 6.1mm 18k rose gold case, the Breguet Classique 7147 automatic timepiece has a perfect size, sidestepping all the smaller cases purveyed in the previous years. The graceful lugs are straight and show a significant distance from the case. Similar to every Breguet watch, the 7147 has the fluted design detail running north to south.
Dial
This latest model of the Breguet Classique 7147BR has eliminated all the superfluous details, coming with an extremely simple yet highly attractive dial. The dial is a wonderful canvas of pure white grand feu enamel which is acquired through multiple firings in an 800-degree+ kiln. Once the dial is all-set, the Breguet-style numerals are delicately placed over the top, suiting perfectly against the white enamel beneath. The hours and minutes markers are indicated by famous blued steel Breguet hands embellished with a round eyelet. Placed between 5 and 6 o'clock is a subtle sub-dial for the seconds. Framing the edges of the dial is the chapter ring and the track is labeled with tiny stars, lozenge markers, and a mix of sphere and delta. Moreover, there is a detail that shows up just below the 12 o'clock hour marker. Initially created by Abraham-Louis Breguet as a sign of their product’s authenticity, the signature of Breguet is now added to every timepiece as a historical reference.
Movement
The Breguet Classique 7147 watch is powered by the caliber 502.3 SD which is an automatic movement found in other Breguet timepieces too. Visible through its sapphire open-back, this Breguet watch is provided with a balance spring and an inverted in-line lever escapement with silicon horns. Finely designed with a guilloche rotor and Geneva bands, it is capable of delivering 45 hours of autonomous operation.
Final Words
The Breguet Classique 7147 Grand Feu is a beautifully-designed timepiece that has a great welcome sense of familiarity. Beyond the attraction of simple-to-read dial, the sheen of the grand feu dial, elegant case design, and wonderful movement are the matchless qualities that make it one of the Breguet watches in the entire Breguet Classique collection.
