A new instrument has been created which embodies the partnership between Bell & Ross and the Tara Ocean Foundation: the BR 03-92 Diver Tara, a diving watch which meets the needs of the crew on board Tara, the schooner and oceanographic explorer.
The Tara Foundation has a twofold mission: to explore the Ocean to ensure better understanding, and to share scientific knowledge about the Ocean to raise public awareness. Regularly facing dangerous conditions, the members of Tara's crew keep pushing the limits of the extreme. To do so, these experienced sailors and scientists have to be able to rely on instruments which remain precise and reliable in all circumstances.
In 1997, Bell & Ross unveiled the Hydromax, a precision tool which pushed the limits in the quest to conquer the deep. Designed with the same focus on excellence, the Diver BR 03-92 was released in 2017. This diving watch with the iconic circle in a square shape is designed for professionals who require the utmost reliability from their tools.
Part of the BR 03 Diver collection of professional diving watches, this limited edition of 999 pieces, water-resistant to 300 metres, features a 42-mm matt blue ceramic case with a unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel in blue and orange, with a 60-minute scale. To ensure perfect legibility of the indications, the blue metal dial has applique indexes and white graduations with a Super-LumiNova® coating.
Bell & Ross opted to design an instrument watch capable of allowing the scientists on board the schooner Tara to complete their missions. A percentage of the profits from each watch sold will be donated to the Foundation.
