In his honor: the Engineer Hydrocarbon AeroGMT Sled Driver. The cockpit-ready chronometer features a beautifully curved sapphire bezel shining with micro gas lights for perfect 24-hour GMT reading in absolute darkness.

After suffering near-fatal burns during the Vietnam War, Brian Shul shocked the military world by overcoming traumatic injury to pilot the SR-71 Blackbird. With a titanium pin in his finger and nerves of steel, Shul rocketed around the world at speeds exceeding 2,000 MPH and altitudes above 85,000 feet. He outmaneuvered serious injuries and outpaced enemy missiles – always guided by skill and unwavering determination.
