Also equipped by a one-minute tourbillon this exceptional timepiece is the result of a considerable work in order to maximize the purity, the power and the clarity of the sound. The purpose of the minute-repeater’s complex mechanism is to indicate the time by sound. The ArtyA tourbillon Lion’s Head 1/1 enjoys the luxury of being in tune with the very reason that gave rise to the repeater: master watchmakers invented the device in the days when their wealthy clients had no light switches. When the candles went out, they had to be able to hear the time.
ArtyA, with this incredible piece of art, sublimated the sound by improving MHC movement and by working on the case. The case, with its Neo-Classical drawings made by Yvan Arpa, allies titanium and gold. The very specific shape of the rear bridge and of the sapphire create a perfect space for the sound.
The dial has been entirely realized by our master engraver Bram Ramon. It is a real sculpture in titanium with an impressive 3D Neo-Renaissance effect, made exclusively with a small chisel and a stamp. The lion head and the extremely detailed eagles are in 24 gold carat sand are directly inlayed in the titanium in order to highlight this art piece.
